Survivors of Domestic Violence (SODV) hosts four fundraising events per year to raise awareness and funding in support of domestic violence advocacy centers. SODV collaborates with agencies to purchase needs for survivors from hygiene products to transitional living items.
SODV is a non-profit organization supporting Domestic Violence Survivor partners.
Our goal is to raise funding and awareness for domestic violence shelters and survivors in the Omaha area. The money raised goes toward purchasing necessities for survivors from those whom are fleeing to those whom are starting a new, safe journey. SODV partners with local agencies to identify the needs of shelters, survivors and children.
SODV was founded by a mother and daughter focusing on others trying to break the cycle. We have experienced generational domestic violence and the cycle has ended with us. We want to help those that have similar experiences and give back to other survivors.

After brainstorming ways to raise money and awareness for the survivors in the Omaha community, a volleyball fundraiser was started. In 2016, the first volleyball tournament was held and has increased in the amount of awareness and funds it brings in yearly.
